UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond improved to 9-0 at home and 14-5 overall with a 67-64 win over La Salle on Saturday in the Robins Center.

The Spiders are off to the seventh-best start in school history and are 3-1 in the Atlantic 10, having won two-straight four of the last five and seven of the last nine.

For the sixth time this season, the Spiders had more steals (11) than turnovers (9). Anderson led the way with four steals, while Gonzalvez and senior Ryan Butler had 2 steals apiece.
The Spiders, who set the school record for steals last year, boast three players in the top-5 in career steals at Richmond. Butler is fifth with 146 steals, while Anderson and Gonzalvez are tied for sixth with Johnny Newman at 145 steals.
In a game that featured three of the Atlantic 10's top-4 active career scorers, it was Anderson who finished with the game-high 21. La Salle's Rodney Green, who is the A-10's active career leader in points, had 10 and Richmond junior David Gonzalvez, who is third on the A-10 active list, had 12 points.
La Salle, which has the second-most Atlantic 10 road wins over the last three seasons and had won three-straight in the Robins Center, jumped out to an early lead. Richmond came back to take a 38-29 lead at the half and then led by as many as 11 in the second half.

The Spiders wrap-up a three-game homestand on Wednesday night hosting Charlotte at 7 p.m. as they look to go 10-0 in the Robins Center this season.
