UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond senior Dani Pycroft was named Atlantic 10 Player of Week and freshman Jessica Hollis was named A-10 Rookie of the Week after leading the Spiders to a 2-0 record last week.
Pycroft scored the game-winning goal in both of Richmond's victories over the weekend. The Harare, Zimbabwe native leads the Spiders with nine goals, four of which are game winners. The 2009 Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second-Team selection has 28 career goals, which puts her two goals from cracking Richmond's top-10 list for career goals.
Hollis scored a goal in Richmond's 2-0 win over West Chester on Friday. It was the Devonshire, Bermuda natives third goal of the season.
The Spiders are in a three-way tie for third in the Atlantic 10 and play the two teams they are tied with to wrap-up the regular season this weekend, Temple on Friday and Saint Joseph's on Sunday. The top four teams in the A-10 advance to the conference tournament, next weekend in Philadelphia.
