Field Hockey Hosts Temple In Atlantic 10 Showdown Friday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond hosts Temple on Friday at 3 p.m. at Crenshaw Field in a key Atlantic 10 match between two of the three teams tied for third in the conference standings.

The Spiders, Temple and Richmond's opponent on Sunday, Saint Joseph's, are all tied at 3-2 for third in the Atlantic 10 standings.

With UMass in first place with a 5-0 record, and Lock Haven in 2nd place with a 4-1 mark, this weekend's games at Crenshaw Field will most likely determine who gets the final two spots in next weekend's Atlantic 10 Tournament.

The top four teams make the 2010 Atlantic 10 Tournament, to be played next weekend at Temple.

Richmond hosts Saint Joseph's on Sunday at noon in the final regular season game of the season.
