Field Hockey Stopped By Lock Haven In A-10 Opener

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Senior Dani Pycroft scored her 24th career goal, but Lock Haven defeated Richmond 2-1 on Friday in the Atlantic 10 opener for both teams.
Lock Haven's Amy Hordendorf scored the game's first goal on an assist from Leslie Ahern in the 15th minute, but Pycroft tied the game in the 25th minute on an assist from freshman Chelsea Davies. It was Pycroft's fifth goal of the season, which ties her for the team lead.
Ahern scored the game winner for Lock Haven on an assist from Hordendorf in the 42nd minute.
The Spiders play their final non-conference game of the year on Sunday when they host Longwood at 1 p.m.
