
Pycroft Named A-10 Player Of Week, Davies Selected As Rookie Of Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Senior Dani Pycroft was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week and freshman Chelsea Davies was named A-10 Rookie of the Week after helping the Spiders to a weekend sweep against Temple and Saint Joseph's.
Pycroft scored the game-winning goal in Richmond's 1-0 win over Temple on Friday and scored the first goal in the Spiders' 4-1 win over Saint Joseph's on Sunday.

Pycroft scored her team-leading 11th goal and the 30th of her career, which puts her in a tie for 10th with Allie Howard (2002-05) on Richmond's all-time goals list, one goal behind teammate Katelin Peterson. This was Pycroft's second A-10 Player of the Week award this season and the third of her career.
The Harare, Zimbabwe native scored in six of the seven A-10 games this season and eight of the last 11 games overall.
Davies scored a goal in Richmond's 4-1 win over Saint Joseph's and setup another when her flick on a penalty corner hit the crossbar and was knocked in by teammate Christin Hanley.
This was the second Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week award for the Madison, N.J. native, who has three goals and five assists for 11 points this season.
Richmond finished the regular season 10-9 and 5-2 in the Atlantic 10 in a tie for second place with Lock Haven. The Spiders are the No. 3 seed in the Atlantic 10 Tournament and will play No. 2 seed Lock Haven on Friday at 11 a.m. at Temple's Geasey Field.
Lock Haven defeated Richmond 2-1 in the Atlantic 10 opener on Oct. 8 at Lock Haven.
