Spiders Overtaken By ODU

NORFOLK, Va. - Richmond led by eight with under nine minutes to play and by four with five minutes to play, but Old Dominion came back with the help of a raucous crowd in the Constant Center to take a 77-70 victory.
Kevin Anderson once again led the Spiders in scoring with 23 points, making 5-of-6 three-pointers.
Freshman Cedric Lindsay had career-high 15 points and senior Justin Harper scored all 14 of his points in the first half and grabbed eight rebounds.
Sophomore Darien Brothers cored seven points and senior Dan Geriot had six points.
The game featured 17 lead changes and six ties, but the Spiders appeared in control from the midway point of the second half until under five minutes remaining when ODU went on a 12-0 run to take a nine-point lead with 1:45 to play.
Lindsay had an old-fashioned three-point play and a long-distance three-pointer and Anderson hit a three-pointer as the Spiders pulled within four with 30 seconds left, but ODU held Richmond off to improve to 5-1.
Lindsay's free throw on his three-point play was Richmond's first and only free throw of the game with 1:27 remaining. Old Dominion made 15-of-20 free throw.
The Spiders (6-2) travel to Tempe, Ariz. to take on Arizona State on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.
