The Players:
• Brittani Shells paced the Spiders with a game-high 26 points Wednesday night. Shells sunk a season-high five threes, only one shy of tying her career-high. (Shells had six threes against Morgan State last December).
• Shells has led the Spider scoring in all but one game this season, and is 16th in the country in points per game (21.4 ppg).
• Abby Oliver scored a season-best 22 points and made a season-high eight of nine free throw attempts.
The Team:
• Richmond made a season-best 10 threes, marking the most long range shots since Jan. 16, 2010 against UMass (10).
• The Spiders shot a scorching 67 percent from long range and season-high 56 percent from the field.
• Richmond only made 22 field goal attempts as the long range shot (10) nearly accounted for half of the Spiders' buckets.
