Women's Lacrosse Battles No. 12 Virginia Wednesday

The Richmond women's lacrosse team plays No. 12 Virginia Wednesday at 7 p.m. at University Hall Turf Field in Charlottesville, Va.
The Spiders are coming off two hard-fought losses to No. 5 Duke and No. 4 North Carolina. Senior goalkeeper Erica Marrocco recorded a tremendous game in goal versus the Blue Devils, posting a career-high 22 saves, which was just three saves shy of tying a single-game record.
Sophomore Gabi Wiegand notched three goals and two assists during the weekend.
Richmond faces its third consecutive ranked opponent in No. 12 Virginia. The Spiders are 4-23-1 all time vs. the Cavaliers.
The Spiders face American next Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
