Morton Named A-10 Offensive Player of the Week

WASHINGTON – Today the Atlantic 10 Conference announced its player of the week awards. Among the award winners was senior Alexis Morton.

Morton was named offensive player of the week after her performances against William & Mary and No. 20/23 Duke last week.

She put together an exceptional pair of performances to lead the Spider offense to high-scoring totals. The attacker from Manhasset, N.Y. tallied nine goals and six assists for 15 points across two games, collecting one ground ball. Morton recorded five goals and three assists in the Spiders' 16-11 victory at William & Mary before posting four goals and three assists in a narrow 15-14 overtime loss to No. 20/23 Duke.
