Women's Lacrosse Travels To No. 10 Towson Saturday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -
The women's lacrosse team squares off against No. 10 Towson Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Johnny Unitas Stadium.
Five of the Spiders' first eight opponents have been ranked in the top-15 in the nation, with three of those five ranked in the top-5.
Richmond is coming off a 14-12 victory over Longwood, where eight Spiders netted goals. Freshman Gabi Wiegand had a game-high four goals while, Mary Flowers added three.
Flowers leads the Spiders in goals (19), ground balls (21) and draw controls (21). Wiegand follows with 18 goals. Richmond are winners of three of its last four games.
Richmond and Towson are meeting for the 18th time, with the Spiders holding the slight 9-8 edge in the series. Towson has taken the past three meetings.
Richmond opens conference play when it hosts Temple next Friday at 3:30 p.m. at UR Stadium.
