UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - University of Richmond rising senior DT Martin Parker is blogging throughout the Spring Football season and you can follow his posts at CAASports.com. Parker was a finalist for the 2009 Buchanan Award and returns in 2010 as one of the nation's top defensive players.
Parker set career-high in tackles (75), sacks (6.5) and tackles for loss (15.5) en route to Second Team All-CAA Football honors last season. He enters his senior campaign with 13.5 sacks and 32.5 TFL to his credit.
Parker will provide an inside look at Spider Football each week throughout the Spring season, much like Patrick Weldon, Eric Ward and Tim Hightower have done in past seasons.
Richmond is a week into Spring Football, with the first scrimmage set for Saturday, March 27 at 10:30 a.m. at UR Stadium. The Spiders' annual Spring Game is Saturday, April 10th at 2:30 p.m. at UR Stadium.
