UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - With construction nearing the finish line at E. Claiborne Robins Stadium, the University of Richmond hosted a Media Tour of the facility Friday afternoon. Nearly 20 members of the local media took part, while the Spiders officially unveiled the Robins Stadium logo and launched RobinsStadium.com.

The comprehensive website was designed and built by the Spiders' athletic public relations department to be one-stop shopping for Robins Stadium patrons. It features full-color printable maps, information on parking, tailgating and tickets, preferred driving directions, and a complete listing of the Stadium's policies and procedures.
In addition, RobinsStadium.com also includes individual pages directed at both the campus and the neighborhood communities to provide pertinent information and to solicit feedback. The campus and neighborhood communities are able to provide comments through a feedback form, a Stadium email address and/or a Good Neighbor Help Line.
The Spiders plan to use RobinsStadium.com, along with the Stadium's Twitter feed (@Robins_Stadium), to help answer questions and disseminate pertinent Gameday information as Richmond Football moves back on campus for the first time in eight decades.
The Stadium's logo was designed by Charles Ryan Associates, and features the school's official athletics logo - the Spider - set inside archways that are prevalent throughout Robins Stadium. The logo will be used on various graphics throughout the stadium and on other promotional materials.
The Spiders host Elon on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. in the inaugural game at Robins Stadium. Richmond, which has a 16-3 record at home since 2007 and has claimed two CAA Football titles in that time, plays six home games in 2010.
Richmond announced recently all 4,000 season tickets had sold out for the 2010 football season, but that a limited number of single-game tickets -- if available -- go on sale August 1.
