The Richmond women's soccer team was downed by seventh-ranked Virginia, 8-0, Friday night at Klockner Stadium.
Virginia (4-0-1) scored three goals within the first 15 minutes and never looked back.
Six different Cavaliers recorded tallies.
Shondel Archer and Jensen Smith recorded Richmond's shots.
The Spiders return to action Sunday against No. 16 William and Mary at 4 p.m.
