
Peterson Named Atlantic 10 Player Of Week, Davies Tabbed Rookie Of Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Junior Katelin Peterson was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week and freshman Chelsea Davies was tabbed Rookie of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
Peterson scored three goals and had two assists in helping lead the Spiders to wins over Rutgers and Monmouth. Peterson, who earns A-10 Player of the Week honors for the second time in her career, has 28 career goals, which is one goal from cracking Richmond's Top-10 list in career goals. She has 67 career points, which is tied for 10th on Richmond's all-time career list.
Davies scored the game-winning goal and had an assist in the win over Rutgers and had an assist on the game-winning goal in the win over Monmouth. The freshman from Madison, N.J. has four points in four collegiate games.
The Spiders have won three-straight games to improve to 3-1 and host city-rival VCU at Crenshaw Field on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. in the home opener.
