UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -
The two-time defending champion Richmond women's tennis team was selected to capture its third-straight Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Tennis Championship according to a vote of the league's head coaches.
Richmond, winner of seven Atlantic 10 Championship crowns, returns a pair of All-Conference selections from a year ago, including first-team recipient Kelly Tidwell and second-team member Sydney Grant. Tidwell, a two-time All-Conference pick, recorded a team-best 10 wins on the number-two singles court last season, while Grant, a sophomore, registered a 9-5 record at No. 4 singles.
The Spiders have won seven of the last eight A-10 titles.
The 2011 A-10 Women's Tennis Championship will be held April 8-10 at the Boar's Head Sports Club in Charlottesville, Va.
