Peterson Reaches 100 Career Points In Spider Win

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Senior Katelin Peterson reaced her 100th career point as Richmond defeated Lock Haven 2-0 Sunday at Crenshaw Field.
Peterson scored a goal in the 18th minute on an assist from junior Natalie Gallo for her 100th career point and then assisted on a goal by sophomore Jessica Hollis in the 39th minute. Peterson finished the day with 101 points, which ranks fourth on Richmond's all-time career list.
Peterson's goal was the 39th of her career, which moved her ahead of Whitney Wells into fifth on Richmond's all-time career list for goals.
The assist was Peterson's 23rd of her career, moving her into a tie with Shannon Taylor and Megan Conway for fifth on the school's all-time career list.
Peterson is tied for the team lead in goals with eight and leads the team in assists (7) and points (23).
The goal for Hollis was her second of the season.
Richmond goalkeeper Anna Zarkoski made one save for her second shutout of the season.
"Coming back from our disappointing performance was a sign of this program's character," said head coach Gina Lucido. "The team executed our attack and defensive strategy most consistently today. It was a good day for Richmond Hockey."
Richmond plays at Saint Joseph's next Friday, before returning home to host Radford in a non-conference game next Sunday.
