Peterson And Barry Earn Conference Honors

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Senior Katelin Peterson was named Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Player of the Week and freshman Rebecca Barry was named A-10 Rookie of the Week after the pair led the Spiders to two victories over the weekend.
Peterson scored two goals and had an assist in Richmond's 6-3 win over Saint Joseph's on Friday and scored the only goal in Richmond's 1-0 victory over Radford on Sunday.
The Escondido, Calif. native is now fourth on Richmond's career list for points (108), goals (42) and is tied for fourth in assists (24). This is the third Atlantic 10 Player of the Week of Peterson's career.
Barry scored two goals, including the game winner in Richmond's 6-3 win over Saint Joseph's.
Barry is in the top-10 in the league in points in conference games with seven points in four conference games.
The Spiders (11-6, 3-1 Atlantic 10) have a chance at the conference regular season title entering the final weekend of the season. Richmond plays first-place Massachusetts on the road Friday and hosts La Salle on Sunday.
