
Spiders Looking For A-10 Regular Season Title Sunday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The Richmond field hockey team goes for its seventh Atlantic 10 Regular Season Championship in the last 10 years Sunday hosting La Salle on Senior Day at 1 p.m. at Crenshaw Field.
Richmond is 4-1 in Atlantic 10 play and 12-6 overall, having handed Massachusetts its first league loss on Friday in Amherst.
The Minutewomen are done with conference play, while Richmond and Temple are a half game back entering Sunday's final day of the regular season.
The Spiders have already clinched a spot in the 2011 Atlantic 10 Tournament, which begins Friday at Saint Joseph's.
La Salle (3-2) is looking to fight off Lock Haven (2-3) for the final spot in the four-team field.
Richmond will honor seniors Sierra Asplundh, Betsy Herr, Emily Straniero and Katelin Peterson in a pregame ceremony
