Wo Men's Lacrosse Releases 2012 Schedule

Richmond head coach Stephy Samaras Mantziaras announced the 2012 women's lacrosse schedule Tuesday.
The Spiders continue their tradition of playing a challenging non-conference slate with five of their nine opponents having made last year's NCAA Tournament. Richmond opens its 2012 schedule hosting Duke and North Carolina, both NCAA semifinalists, at Robins Stadium Feb. 17 and 19.
Richmond travels to NCAA participants Virginia and James Madison and also plays at NCAA Runner-up Maryland Mar. 13.
The Spiders host three non-conference games in Duke, North Carolina and in-state rival William & Mary. In conference action, Richmond welcomes four opponents in A-10 champion UMass, GW, La Salle and Temple. The Spiders travel to St. Joes, St. Bonaventure and Duquesne in A-10 play.
Richmond will host the 2012 Atlantic 10 Championships at Robins Stadium for the first time in school history. The four-team tournament commences Apr. 27. The championship game will take place Apr. 29. Times will be announced at a later date.
