Team Notes
- Entering Saturday's game, Richmond had won seven-consecutive games when playing an opponent for the first time
- Richmond's missed field goal at the end of the first half snapped a streak of 11-consecutive Red Zone trips with points dating back to the Towson game
- Both teams had unsuccessful fake punt attempts in the first quarter
- Richmond's two-point conversion (John Laub pass to Sam Roller) was the Spiders' second successful two-point conversion in as many tries this season
Player Notes
- Junior DB Doug Howell's third-quarter fumble return for TD was the program's first since Eric McBride's vs. Appalachian State in the 2009 FCS Quarterfinal at City Stadium.
- Howell's return stands as the Spiders' longest scoring play since 1984 -- when John Armstrong returned a kickoff 99 yards for a TD vs. Colgate (Nov. 3, 1984)
- Senior CB Tremayne Graham was not in Saturday's lineup, snapping a streak of 19-consecutive starts that was tied for the team lead with four other Spiders. He was replaced in the lineup by junior Evan Joseph, who made his first career start
- Junior LB Derek Mayo led all tacklers with a career-best 16 stops
- Redshirt freshman CB Reggie Barnette earned his first career start, with junior S Cooper Taylor not in Saturday's lineup.For Roller, the points scored were the first of his career
- Barnette finsihed with a career-high 10 tackles
- Freshman LB Eric Wright's eight tackles marks a new career high
- Freshman DB Reggie Barnette tallied a new career-high with 10 tackles
- Senior QB Aaron Corp eclipsed the 2,000-yard passing plateau with his 256 passing yards. He became just the 10th Spider QB in history to pass for 2,000 yards in a season and now stands seventh on the single-season list with 2,236 yards.
- Redshirt freshman WR Stephen Barnette equaled a career high with four receptions
