Spiders Roll On Senior Day In Rocking Robins Center

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Senior Justin Harper scored 24 points, including a monster two-handed dunk to put an exclamation point on the Spiders' 82-65 Senior Day win over St. Bonaventure Sunday.
Dan Geriot scored 13 of his 17 points in the first half as Richmond (21-7, 10-3 Atlantic 10) improved to 11-3 at home this season 28-4 in the last 32 home games.
Harper made 7-of-13 field goals, including 3-of-4 three-pointers as he moved into 20th on Richmond's all-time scoring list (1,301 points) and within one three-pointer of Ryan Butler for fifth on the school's all-time three-point list.
It was Harper's 12th 20-point game of the season, including his 11th in the last 16 games. He also blocked four shots, giving him 101 blocks for his career.
Geriot made 6-of-11 field goals, and 3-of-5 three-pointers as he scored in double-figures for the ninth-straight game. Geriot grabbed eight rebounds and had three assists. Kevin Anderson scored 12 points to move within 11 points of 2,000 career points.
Senior Kevin Smith filled the stat line with four points, seven assists, six rebounds, four steals, one block and yet another gravity-defying dunk.
Sophomore Darien Brothers had 16 points off the bench as senior Kevin Hovde got his 10th-career start, grabbing a rebound and having two assists.
The Spiders, who lead the conference in shooting at 47.4 percent, made 50.8 percent of their field goals (31-of-61) against the Bonnies (14-11, 6-6).
The Spiders had 19 assists against just eight turnovers and shot 43.5 percent from 3-point range (10-of-23). Richmond held St. Bonaventure to 4-of-15 shooting from beyond the arc.
Demetrius Conger scored 17 and Andrew Nicholson had 14 of his 16 points in the second half for the Bonnies.
The Spiders have the week off before travelling to Charlotte to face the 49ers on Saturday.
