Women's Lacrosse Hosts Saint Joe's For Senior Day Friday

The first-place Spiders (7-7, 4-0) hosts Saint Joseph's 4:00 p.m. Friday at Robins Stadium. Nine seniors will be honored in a pregame ceremony.
Last Time Out: Richmond scored 10 first-half goals and withstood a Temple rally to down the Owls, 13-9, for its fourth-straight win Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia. Julianne Nicola, Caitlin Fifield and Hayley Ross each had a hat trick for Richmond, while Nicola added three assists. The Spiders outshot Temple 31-22 and won the draw 15-9. Victoria Roebuck had nine saves in the net.
Richmond Lately: The Spiders sit atop the conference standings with Massachusetts as both teams have a 4-0 mark. The two teams square off Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Flowers continues to lead the Spiders in every statistical category: goals (34), assists (20), points (54), shots (55), ground balls (57), draw controls (52) and caused turnovers. Flowers' 34 tallies is second in the A-10 and is 14th in the nation in scoring. Flowers is the nation's leader in ground balls per game with 5.0 and leads all Division I with 57 on the season. Roebuck is 10th in the nation in saves (125). The Spiders are tops in the league in assists per game (5.50), ground balls (20.43), points (18.71) and draw controls (14.21).
Saint Joe's Lately: The Hawks come in with a 5-8 overall record, 1-3 mark in conference play. Saint Joe's is coming off a 14-5 loss to Duquesne. The Hawks beat La Salle, 7-6 in their only conference win this season. Jen Peters leads Hawk scoring with 26 tallies on the season.
Last Time vs. Saint Joe's: Richmond defeated the Hawks, 15-7 last April in Philadelphia. Danielle Schaevitz led nine Spiders with four goals.
