Deitrick Named Atlantic 10 Rookie Of The Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Freshman Taylor Deitrick was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the second time this season after scoring a goal in each of No. 17 ranked Richmond's victories on the weekend.
The Spiders were trailing VCU 1-0 in the second half when Deitrick deflected in a shot by Rebecca Barry to tie the score, the first of three unanswered goals in a 3-1 Richmond victory.
The Harrisburg, Pa. native scored her ninth goal of the season in Richmond's 6-0 victory over Saint Louis on Sunday.
Deitrick and Barry are tied for the team lead in goals and are third in the Atlantic 10 in goals this season.
The No. 17 ranked Spiders have won five-straight games and seven of the last eight. Richmond plays at James Madison on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
