Spiders Announce 2013 Schedule

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond head coach Allison Evans announced the 2013 women's lacrosse schedule Wednesday.
The Spiders continue their tradition of playing a challenging non-conference slate with seven of their opponents having made last year's NCAA Tournament. Richmond opens its 2013 slate with Maryland at Robins Stadium Feb. 10.
The Spiders then travel to NCAA participants in Duke and North Carolina. Richmond returns home to host Virginia Feb. 20.
Richmond hosts six non-conference games, three of which are against NCAA participants (Maryland, Virginia, Towson). Overall, Richmond welcomes nine opponents to Robins Stadium in 2013.
The Spiders host A-10 foes Duquesne, St. Bonaventure and Saint Joseph's. The 2013 Lacrosse Championships will be held in Amherst, Mass. on the campus of the UMass Minutewomen Apr. 27-29.
Richmond welcomes eight newcomers to this year's roster.
