Barry Named Atlantic 10 Player Of Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Sophomore Rebecca Barry was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week after tallying nine points in two victories over the weekend.
Barry scored two goals in both games to give her three-straight games with two goals. She has scored two goals in five of the last seven games.
The Limerick, Ireland native scored two late goals to lead the Spiders to a 3-2 come-from-behind victory at Lock Haven on Friday. Then on Sunday she assisted on the Spiders' first goal by Taylor Deitrick and scored two goals in a four minute span for the second-straight game to give the Spiders' a 3-1 win at La Salle.
Barry, who's goal in a win over Temple a week ago made ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays, leads Richmond with 15 goals and 39 points.
The No. 16 ranked Spiders play city-rival VCU in the Atlantic 10 Semifinals on Friday at 11 a.m. looking for their eighth A-10 Championship.
