Richmond Wo Men's Golf Starts Spring on Sunday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond Spiders women's golf team will get the spring portion of their 2011-12 season underway this Sunday as the team will play in the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic. The tournament, which is hosted by the College of Charleston, will be played on both the Oak and Cougar Point Courses in Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
The 54-hole tournament will run Sunday through Tuesday, with teams playing 18 holes each day. Teams will play both Oak Point and Cougar Point the first two days, with the top-19 teams playing at Cougar Point in the final round on Tuesday.
The 33-team field includes Richmond, Akron, Arkansas State, Augusta State, UALR, Bucknell, Campbell, Charleston Southern, Chattanooga, The Citadel, College of Charleston, Daytona State, Elon, Georgetown, High Point, Illinois State, IUPUI, Jacksonville State, Longwood, Marshall, Mercer, Middle Tennessee State, Morehead State, Newberry, UNCG, Old Dominion, Oral Roberts, Presbyterian, Radford, St. John's, Western Carolina, William & Mary, and Winthrop.
