Spider Men's Tennis Continues Play At Elon Invitational

The Spider men's tennis team continued a full day of single's play at the Elon Invitational tournament in North Carolina.
Ethan Dunbar (Medina, Ohio/ Cloveleaf High School) defeated UNC-Greensboro's Ahmet Sarioglu 7-5 and 6-1 but fell to Robert Kjellberg from NC-Wesleyan 6-3 and 6-3. Dunbar was eliminated in the semi-finals of the A-1 singles consolation round.
Sebastien Fauchet (Rochester, N.Y./ Harley School) defeated Wake Forest' Conner Sherwood 6-0, 6-2 but fell to Longwood's Dan Elston in the consolation semi-finals 7-6, 6-3 in the B1 single's flight.In the C1 singles flight Will Welte (Kansas City, Mo./ Pembroke) will be playing in the consolation final against Longwoods Steed Johnson tomorrow. Welte defeated Campbell's Joseph Baro 6-4 and 6-0 in his first match of the day and went on to defeat UNC Greensboro's Jimmy Roueche in the semi-final 6-1 and 6-0
Paul Nahon III (Springfield, Mo./ Glendale High School) played in the winners bracket defeating Coastal Carolina's Sam Barr 6-4, 7-5. In the semi finals Nahon decisively won against Campbell's Rik Van Gerwen 6-0 and 6-1, earning a place in the B2 Single's Flight Championship match against Coastal Carolina's Matias Di. Pasquale.
The tournament concludes tomorrow with double's semi final and finals, and single's championships and consolation championships.
