Spiders Look For Third-Straight Win Over Temple

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Richmond looks for its third-straight win over Temple when the Spiders visit the Owls on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

- The Spiders play their second-straight road game, making their second trip to Philadelphia in three weeks to play at Temple. Richmond returns to the City of Brotherly Love for a third-time in two weeks to play at Saint Joseph's.
- Philadelphia native Chris Mooney has won two-straight, three of five and four of the last seven games against Temple, but all of those wins have come in the Atlantic 10 Tournament or in the Robins Center. Richmond has won 8 of the 15 A-10 meetings with Temple.
- Richmond continues to play without junior forward Derrick Williams - the only Spider big man with any prior collegiate experience. The Spiders will be without Williams, who is 2nd on the team in scoring and leads the team in rebounding, for the 8th-straight game, but head coach Chris Mooney said he could potentially return as early as Saturday against Xavier. Richmond is 4-3 without Williams.
- Senior Darien Brothers leads the A-10 and is 6th in the nation in three-point percentage at 47.2 percent. The Richmond native is 5th on Richmond's all-time career list for three-point pct. at 41.0 percent and is 5th on the career list for three-pointers with 181, having passed Kevin Anderson and Justin Harper. He is 29th on Richmond's all-time scoring list with 1,128 points and 8th in the A-10 in scoring at 15.9 ppg. Brothers is 3rd in the A-10 and 24th in the nation in three-pointers made per game (2.86) and is 2nd in the A-10 in 23rd in the nation in free throw pct (.889).
- Richmond had defeated two of the top teams in the Atlantic 10 standings, Charlotte and VCU, before letting a seven-point lead with six minutes to go slip away at UMass on Sunday.
- The Spiders have been a strong road team under Chris Mooney, but is currently 0-3 on the road in A-10 play. Richmond is 18-13 in the last 31 road games.
