Barry Named A-10 Co-Player Of The Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Junior Rebecca Barry of the Richmond field hockey team was named Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Co-Player of the Week for games played between Oct. 7-Oct. 13, announced the conference office Monday afternoon.
A native of Limerick, Ireland, Barry led the Spiders to a 2-0 week. In a 6-1 victory over VCU, the junior midfielder connected for her third-career hat trick. Barry scored three of the six Spider goals to help Richmond start the A-10 1-0. Barry's 25 points and 10 goals this season both rank fourth in the A-10.
This is the second honor for Barry this season. The midfielder shares the award with Saint Francis' Autumn Pellman.
Richmond will be back in action this Friday, Oct. 18 when it hosts conference foe Saint Francis at 4 p.m.
