Strauss Has Record Passing Day at No.19/21 James Madison
Redshirt junior QB Michael Strauss had one of the best passing days in Richmond history at No 19/21 James Madison, setting school records for completions (41) and attempts (64). Strauss' 423 passing yards against the Dukes rank him second all-time.
Edwards Amongst National Leaders at Wide Receivers
Senior WR Ben Edwards is having a tremendous season, ranking amongst the national leaders in numerous categories this season. Despite missing a game, Edwards ranks second in the country in receptions per game (9.6), 24th in receiving yards per game (87.2) and 57th in receiving yards (436).
Rocco's Record Impressive Following Losses
In his eight-years as a head coach, Richmond Danny Rocco has never lost three-consecutive conference games. In fact, Rocco has only lost three-games in a row once in his coaching career – four-straight in 2006 while at Liberty. In total, Rocco-led teams are 17-9 in games following losses.
Richmond Interception Streak at 16 Games
With DB Justin Grant's first career interception last week at No. 19/21 James Madison, Richmond has recorded at least one pick in 16-straight games. Over that stretch, the Spiders have intercepted a total of 34 passes. Richmond led the FCS in interceptions last season with 24.
