UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond field hockey team is set to face Atlantic 10 newcomer the Saint Francis Red Flash Friday evening at Crenshaw Field. Game time is set for 4 p.m. and it will be streamed live by SpiderTV.
The Spiders look to keep their strong conference play going as they are coming off a convincing 6-1 win over the VCU Rams this past Sunday. Richmond is now 8-5 on the season and 1-0 in the A-10.
Rebecca Barry was named A-10 Field Hockey Co-Player of the Week this week as the junior collected her third-career hat trick in the 6-1 win over the Rams. She leads the team with 10 goals and five assists which is good for 25 points.
The Red Flash is also off to a good start in conference play. Saint Francis defeated Lock Haven 4-3 last Friday to start in the A-10 1-0, as it is 6-4 overall. Autumn Pellman, who shares the weekly award with Barry, leads the squad with 13 goals, one assist and 27 points.
