Kobelja Named A-10 Performer Of The Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Senior Mali Kobelja of the Richmond swimming and diving program was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference office Wednesday morning.

Kobelja, a senior from Fort Wayne, Ind., played a major part in dual wins this past weekend against Duquesne and Oakland. Kobelja led the Spiders with two event titles in the 50-yard freestyle (24.14) and the 200-yard IM (2:06.34) along with a second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.27).

This is the ninth-career weekly honor for Kobelja.

Richmond will be back in action this weekend when the diving squad heads to Clemson for a meet against the Tigers and Georgia Southern on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Swimming will hit the pool Saturday, Nov. 2 at East Carolina.
