
Field Hockey Returns Home Saturday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond field hockey team returns home this weekend to host the Appalachian State Mountaineers Saturday at 12 p.m. at Crenshaw Field.
The Spiders are coming off a four-game road swing over a nine-day span. Richmond (5-5) collected five-straight wins before falling to No. 15 Wake Forest in a thrilling 1-0 overtime loss this past weekend, the second overtime contest to a top-20 team for the Spiders this season.
This is the fifth-consecutive road game for the Mountaineers, who have lost four-straight to be 2-7 on the season and have been outscored, 45-12, by its opponents. Caroline Phillips leads App State with three goals and 27 shots, while Sarah Anderson will be in goal for the Mountaineers as she holds a 1-7 record with 97 saves.
