
Anthony And Allen Lead Spiders Over Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Junior Kendall Anthony picked up right where he left off in the last meeting with Air Force, connecting on five three-pointers and sophomore Terry Allen joined Anthony with 19 points as Richmond defeated Air Force 83-60 on Wednesday night.
Anthony, who scored a career-high 31 points with seven three-pointers in the win over the Falcons last season in the Robins Center, connected on 5-of-7 three-pointers at the Air Force Academy to score a season-high 19 points.
Allen scored a career-high 19 points, making 7-of-12 field goals and grabbing seven rebounds. Allen, who scored 16 points in the win over Fairfield on Sunday, is second on the team in scoring (11.6 ppg) and leads the team in rebounding (7.4 rpg).
Senior Cedrick Lindsay just missed his third career double-double with 16 points and nine assists in the victory. Junior Wayne Sparrow scored eight points in just 10 foul-plagued minutes, making all three of his field goals, including a three-pointer.
Sophomore Alonzo Nelson-Ododa scored six points, grabbed five rebounds, had three steals and blocked a season-high four shots. Sophomore Deion Taylor had five points and sophomore Trey Davis had four.
Richmond (5-2) had its best shooting night of the young season on Wednesday, converting a blistering 53.7 percent on 29-of-54 from the floor. The Spiders also dished out an impressive 24 assists on its 29 made baskets to cruise to the win.
Richmond, which has won two-straight away from home, returns to the Robins Center on Saturday to host in-state rival James Madison at 6 p.m.
