
Richmond Routs Duquesne; Earns No. 8 Seed

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Freshman Terry Allen scored a career-high 17 points as Richmond led by 36 in a 79-55 win over Duquesne in the regular-season finale Saturday in the Robins Center.
Richmond improved to 18-13 overall and finished 8-8 in Atlantic 10 play. The Spiders earned the eighth seed in next week's A-10 Tournament in Brooklyn, playing ninth-seed Charlotte Thursday at noon.
The Spiders finished the year 15-2 at home, tying the school record for most home wins in a season. The 1954-55 (15-5) and 1981-82 (15-3) teams also won 15 home games.
Allen made all seven of his field goal attempts, including two three-pointers as he scored in double-figures for the second-straight game.
Senior Darien Brothers scored 14 points, before leaving the game with a cut on his shooting hand that required stiches.
Sophomore Kendall Anthony scored 12 points, making 5-of-7 field goals and junior Derrick Williams had 11 points.
The Spiders had eight players with at least two assists as they dished out 22 for the game.
