Spiders Travel To William & Mary Saturday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The Spiders travel to Williamsburg for a 1 p.m. game against the William & Mary Tribe Saturday.
Scouting William & Mary
The Tribe enters Saturday's game with a 2-6 record and have dropped three-straight. William & Mary is led by Krystin Mackrides' 24 points (22g, 2a). Taelor Salmon follows with 17 goals, while Kaleigh Noon leads the team with 12 assists. William & Mary leads the CAA in points, assists and draw controls per game. The Tribe looks for their first win at home since Feb. 13.
Scouting Richmond
Richmond is coming off its most impressive win of the season in a convincing 17-10 win over No. 19 Towson last Saturday. Senior captain Caitlin Fifield led the Spiders with five goals and one assist and was awarded the A-10 Player of the Week for her efforts. It was Richmond's second-straight year having beat an opponent in the Top-20. Sam Stevenson leads Richmond with 37 points (29g, 8a) while Fifield follows with 35 points (23g, 12a). Stevenson's 29 goals tie for first in the conference and fifth nationally. Taylor Blazer leads the Spider defense with 23 draw controls and 24 ground balls.
The Teams
Richmond handled the Tribe, 18-8, last year at Robins Stadium. The Spiders scored seven-straight goals to open the second half and never looked back en route to the victory.
