Spiders Secure Ninth Seed In A-10 Tournament

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Ninth-seeded Richmond will square off against No. 8 GW Friday in the first round of the 2013 A-10 Tournament.
Richmond will play in the tournament's first game set for 11:30 a.m. against rival GW at Hagan Arena on the campus of Saint Joseph's.
GW squeaked by the Spiders in this year's meeting, 57-54, in the nation's capital Feb. 6. The Colonials scored four points in the last 10 seconds to steal the win. Kristina King and Becca Wann both scored 11 points to lead Richmond.
Should Richmond advance, it would face top-seeded No. 12 Dayton Saturday, Mar. 9 at 12:00 p.m.
