
Spiders Host Duquesne Friday At Robins Stadium

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond returns home after four-straight road contests to host Duquesne Friday at 4 p.m.
Scouting Duquesne
The Dukes come into Friday's game 7-5, 2-1 mark. Duquense is tied for third place in the conference standings with GW. Amanda Kidder leads the Duke point totals with 48 points (37g, 11a) while Haley Marafioti follows with 46 points (25g, 21a). Kidder has picked up a team-high 28 ground balls and caused 24 turnovers. Marafioti has secured a team-best 34 draw controls. The Dukes are 3-1 in away games this season and are playing in their first A-10 road contest. Freshman Lib Lowry was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week after tallying three goals in Duquesne's 16-1 win over Saint Joe's.
Scouting Richmond
The Spiders are coming off an impressive 19-13 win over La Salle Sunday, with Caitlin Fifield scoring a game-high six goals in the victory. Richmond is 4-9, 1-2 overall and tied with Saint Joseph's for fifth place in the conference standings. Sam Stevenson leads Spider scoring with 53 points (39g, 13a) while Fifield follows with 51 points (36g, 15a). Fifield ranks fourth in goals (162) and points (208) while ranking seventh in assists (46) in program history. Fifield has scored a hat trick or better in four games this season. Taylor Blazer spearheads the Spider defense, with 32 ground balls on the year. Blazer also has pulled down 35 draw controls and has caused 19 turnovers this season.
The Teams
Duquesne won last year's meeting, 12-7, in Pittsburgh. Stevenson led Richmond with a hat trick. Richmond owns a 6-2 all-time edge in the series.
