Spiders Host Saint Joe's For Senior Day Friday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Five seniors will be honored as Richmond hosts Saint Joseph's Friday at 4 p.m. at Robins Stadium.
Scouting Saint Joe's
The Hawks come into Friday's contest with an 8-6, 2-3 overall mark. Saint Joe's is one of four team's vying for a spot in next week's A-10 Tournament. The Hawks are led by Megan McDevitt's 49 points (28g, 21). McDevitt ranks ninth all-time in Hawks history in career goals, fourth in overall points. Val Paolucci follows with 33 points (22g, 11a). Julia Falcone spearheads the Hawks defense with a team-leading 32 ground balls and caused turnovers. The Hawks boast a 4-2 away record and have won two of their last three games.
Scouting Richmond
The Spiders come into Friday with a 5-10, 2-3 record and look to sweep weekend action to qualify for the A-10 Tournament. Richmond, along with Saint Joseph's, is one of four teams battling for the last two spots in next week's A-10 Tournament. The Spiders are led by Sam Stevenson's A-10-leading 46 goals, while redshirt Caitlin Fifield leads Richmond point totals with 61 (41g, 20a). Stevenson and Fifield lead the Richmond attack with career numbers that rank among the best in program history. Stevenson currently ranks sixth all-time in goals (144), seventh in assists (44) and eighth in points (188). Fifield, a Tewaaraton Watch List honoree, ranks fourth in career goals (167), seventh in assists (51) and fourth in total points (218). Richmond is 4-4 at Robins Stadium this season and has won two of its last three games.

Richmond owns an 11-1 all-time edge in the series with the Hawks. The Spiders won last year's meeting, 14-7, last Apr. in Philadelphia. Stevenson led Richmond with four goals.
