Three Spiders Earn VaSID Honors

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Three Spiders earned All-State recognition as announced by the Virginia Sports Information Directors.
Sam Stevenson and Taylor Blazer earned All-State first team honors, while Caitlin Fifield was tabbed to the second team.
Stevenson posted a stellar senior campaign, leading Richmond with a team-high 54 goals. Stevenson was an A-10 All Conference first team selection and an A-10 Player of the Week. Stevenson finished her decorated career fifth in goals (152), eighth in assists (46) and fifth in total points (198).
Blazer follows Stevenson on the All-State first team list, after leading the Richmond defense. The Berlin, Md. native garnered All-Conference recognition after leading Richmond in draw controls (47) and caused turnovers (23). Blazer finished second on the team with 36 ground balls and secured a career-best eight draw controls in a win over ODU Mar. 5.
Fifield rounds out the Richmond accolades with All-State second team honors. Fifield was a Tewaaraton Watch List nominee and finished fourth all-time in goals (174). Fifield ranked seventh in assists (55) and third in total points (229).
