Richmond Finishes Fourth At William & Mary Invite

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Richmond concluded action at the William & Mary Invitational Tuesday, taking fourth place at Kingsmill Resort.
“They did very well,” said head coach Maggie Will. “I am really proud of their efforts and their patience. We found a way to hang in there and good things happened for us.”
The Spiders had four of their five players in the lineup finish in the Top-20. Senior Lauren Conder finished 11th with a cumulative score of 223 (+10). Classmate Krystin Schwarze finished 14th with a score of 226 (+13) while sophomore Jessica Lydia placed 16th and sophomore Elizabeth Rubino placed 19th.
Conder shot a career-low 70 (-1) on the second day of competition, birding on four-straight holes and recording five birdies overall. Schwarze tied a career-low with a 75 (+4) on the first day of the tournament. Tiara Baskerville finished 37th as an individual.
Richmond posted its first-Top 5 finish of the season, placing fourth out of nine teams in the Invitational.
The Spiders resume action at the Starmount Fall Classic Monday, Sept. 30 in Greensboro, N.C.
