Swim & Dive Predicted To Finish First In A-10

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Richmond swimming and diving program has been predicted to take home the 2014 Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championship title, according to a preseason poll conducted among the league's head coaches.
The Spiders are coming off their third-consecutive A-10 title and 11th conference title in the last 12 years. Richmond returns last year's Most Outstanding Championship Performer, Mali Kobelja, along with Atlantic 10 event record holders Natalya Ares (200 Freestyle) and 2013 A-10 Most Outstanding Rookie Kelley Yang (100 Butterfly), while welcoming eight newcomers to the squad.
Richmond will open its season hosting Old Dominion and UNC Wilmington at the Collegiate School Aquatic Center at Ukrop Park for a two-day event starting Friday, Oct. 11 at 6 p.m. The event will be streamed live on SpiderTV.
