Spiders Release Non-Conference Schedule

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – Women's basketball head coach Michael Shafer announced the 2013-14 non-conference schedule Tuesday. The Spiders play a challenging front-end slate, with nine teams that saw postseason action, two of which were NCAA participants.
Richmond hosts four home games, including Commonwealth rival and WNIT quarterfinalist James Madison Nov. 21. The Spiders open their 2013 home schedule hosting the University of Alabama-Birmingham Sunday, Nov. 17th. Richmond returns home to host UNC Wilmington and Charleston Dec. 7 and 14th, respectively.
The Spiders open their 2013 season on the road at Georgetown and NCAA participant Miami (Fla.) the weekend of Nov 8. Richmond plays Virginia Tech the day before Thanksgiving in Blacksburg, Nov. 27. Before departing for Christmas break, the Spiders will travel to California to participate in the Long Beach Classic Dec. 20-21.
Game times will be announced at a later date.
