Chavez To Run In World Mountain Championship

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond sophomore Jordan Chavez of the men's cross country program is set to compete at the 2013 World Mountain Running Championships Sunday, Sept. 8in Krynica Zdroj, Poland at 10 a.m. (CEST). The 29th-annual race will feature 37 countries.
This marks the 13th time the Richmond Spiders have represented the U.S. at the World Mountain Running Championships since 2006.
The course will run through the Jaworzyna Mountain near Krynica Zfroj, Poland starting downhill and running through the mountain terrain. The Jaworzyna Mountain is located in the heart of the Poprad Landscape Park and it is the highest peak in the eastern part of Beskid Sadecki mountain massif.
