Men's Basketball Downs Saint Joseph's, 77-62

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – Junior Kendall Anthony's 19 points led five Spiders in double-figures as Richmond defeated Saint Joseph's 77-62 in front of a soldout Robins Center Saturday.
The Spiders (14-6, 4-1 Atlantic 10) won their fourth-straight and snapped a four-game winning streak for Saint Joseph's (13-6, 3-2 A10).
Anthony made three three-pointers as he moved into a tie for sixth with Justin Harper on Richmond's career list for treys with 179. He also had four assists.
Senior Cedrick Lindsay scored 16 points and sophomore Trey Davis scored a career-high 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for his first career double-double.
Sophomore Deion Taylor scored 11 points, making 4-of-5 field goals, including both three-point attempts. Fellow sophomore Terry Allen had 10 points on 4-of-7 shoothing, including 2-of-3 from behind the arc. Allen also finished with six rebounds and two assists.
The Spiders shot 47.9 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from three, while holding the Hawks to 27.3 percent shooting from three-point land.
Richmond hits the road to play at nationally ranked Saint Louis on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET and then faces city-rival VCU in the Bank of America Capital City Classic on Saturday at 11 a.m. on ESPN2.
