RS.com: Why did you choose Richmond?
Dylan Stoops: I chose the University of Richmond because of the academic and athletic opportunities that the school provides. It's not common to find a school that holds both in high regards and cares about you more as a student than as an athlete.
RS: Three words that describe you best…
DS: Creative, loyal, unpredictable. Or professional strikeout artist.
RS: Favorite MLB team?
DS: Baltimore Orioles
RS: Favorite MLB player of all-time?
DS: Sandy Koufax
RS: What is your dream job?
DS: To play for any MLB team other than the New York Yankees.
RS: Any pregame superstitions?
DS: I always wear my “Wild” Bill Hagy t-shirt on days that I pitch.
RS: One thing most people don't know about you?
DS: I'm Robbie Baker's life coach.
RS: Biggest accomplishment?
DS: Winning a Cape Cod championship last summer.
RS: Best piece of advice you've been given by a coach?
DS: Always play the game like it's someone's first and last time ever seeing you pitch.
RS: Best memory from playing little league?
DS: One season I was fortunate enough to play and win a championship with my younger brother. He continuously surprised me and step up big even though he was the youngest player in the league.
