Healy Named A-10 Rookie Of The Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Freshman Olivia Healy of the Richmond women's basketball squad was named Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week for her efforts against Saint Louis last week, announced by the conference office Monday.
Playing 30 minutes against Saint Louis, the freshman led both teams with 22 points, which was a career high that lifted the Spiders over the Billikens for their third A-10 victory. The Reading, Mass., native went 10-of-18 from the floor and also led Richmond with nine rebounds. This was her second-straight contest with 20 or more points.
This is the first honor for Healy in her young career and the first A-10 weekly award for the Spiders since Dec. 10 2012 when Becca Wann was named A-10 Player of the Week.
The Spiders return to the court Wednesday, Jan. 29 when they travel to La Salle at 7 p.m.
