Roane, Brown Set For Sportsline Tuesday At Outback
10/12/2014 | Football
Join head football coach Danny Rocco, and special player guests senior linebacker Aaron Roane and sophomore wide receiver Brian Brown for lunch and college football talk on Tuesday's edition of The Spider Sportsline at Outback Steakhouse, 7917 W. Broad St. from noon-1pm. The popular lunchtime radio show airs every Tuesday during the college football season live on ESPN 950, Sports FM 100.5 and RichmondSpiders.com.
Roane, a Spider captain, set the tone in Saturday's 41-28 CAA Football victory at Albany with an interception on the third play of the game, leading to a Richmond touchdown that marked the first points of a turnover allowed by Albany's defensive this season. It was the West Point, Va. native's second career pick.
Brown, from Richmond's Hermitage High School, caught his first touchdown pass of the season Saturday at Albany. He finished with seven catches for 70 yards, with his last reception a 23-yard grab from quarterback Michael Rocco on third and 11 that sealed the Spider victory. Brown has three 100-yard receiving games this season and four in his careeer.
Fans, alums and corporate partners are encouraged to attend, enjoy lunch, and talk Spider and college football. Listeners can call-in during the program at 804-345-0950 or 233-7680. Emails can be sent anytime to spidersportsline@richmond.edu and will be read on-the-air.
