LAST TIME OUT
The Spiders are coming off an impressive weekend as they cruised past defending A-10 Champion UMass last friday, before downing MAC opponent Ohio two days later. Richmond was led by freshman Katrina Balatgek with three points as she assisted the game-winning goal against the Minutewomen, before hitting her first-career goal Sunday. For the Reading, Pa., native's efforts this past weekend she earned her first A-10 weekly honor as Balatgek was named A-10 Rookie of the Week.
A FAMILIAR FACE
On Friday, the Spiders will be reunited with a familier face on Saint Joseph's sideline. Former Richmond standout Anna Zarkoski enters her first year with the Hawks as she SJU's goalkeeper's coach. Zarkoski graduated this past May from Richmond, as she became the first Spider field hockey student-athlete to earn First Team All-America honors, wrapping up an outstanding career between the pipes for Richmond a year ago. She was also named an NCAA Statistical Champion, posting the nation's highest save percentage (.824) for the second time in three seasons.
