Team Notes
- With the 10-9 win over No. 3/4 Villanova, Richmond has now won five-straight games and 11 of their last 14 dating back to last season.
- With the victory, Richmond has won three of their last four games against ranked opponents and improves to 24-20 against ranked teams since the 2007 season.
- With the win, Richmond head coach Danny Rocco improves to 22-4 in November in nine seasons as a head coach and to 8-0 during the month in three years at Richmond.
- The Richmond defense has now surrendered 10 or less points in three-straight games, the first time the team has accomplished that feat since the 1976 season.
- With the 0-0 score at the end of the first quarter, Richmond has not allowed an opponent to score in the first 15 minutes in seven-straight games. On the year, UR has out-scored opponents, 85-10, in the first quarter.
Player Notes
- LB Omar Howard's 18 tackles are a career-high and rank second in the CAA this season.
- Howard's 18 tackles are the most for a Spiders since Darius McMillian had 20 against William & Mary on November 19, 2011.
- With his 37-yard field goal in the third quarter, PK Peter Yoder now ranks in a tie for fourth place on Richmond's single-season field goals made list with 16.
- WR Brian Brown totaled a game-high 119 receiving yards on eight catches. The 100-yard game is his fourth this season and the fifth of his young career.
- DB Ayo Ogunniyi's interception on Villanova's first drive was his second of the season and fourth of his career.
- LB Eric Wright's interception in the first quarter was his second of the season and the third of his career.
- QB Michael Rocco's 15-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was his fourth of the season.
- DL Winston Craig recorded his first career sack in the victory.
